Speaker profileM D Ramaswami (known to friends as MD) has over 25 years experience in BPO, IT and Contact Centre industries. He was the first Managing Director of Dell International Services in Bangalore, India. At Dell, MD helped create Dell’s first offshore contact center and shared services organization servicing Dell’s customers across the globe. During his tenure at Dell, he helped setup a 1500 person captive operation in Bangalore and a 1000 person outsourced operation in New Delhi.

MD founded Celtycs in 2002 and has since built a successful consulting and advisory services company. The Company has served over 70 customers since inception. MD himself is actively involved in consulting and has led several transformational engagements across telecom, technology, healthcare and litigation support services industries. 

MD has pioneered an industry leading methodology that helps companies proactively assess and manage their customers’ experience by deriving insights from interactions between the company and its customer.

Prior to Dell, MD setup Microsoft’s first outsourced technical support operation in India. While on the project, he along with his team built the very first version of a CRM tool which later on became a successful company called Talisma. MD has held leadership positions at information technology companies like PSI Bull, VeriFone and Infosys. MD is an invited speaker at many forums like IQPC, Internet World and TiE.

MD holds B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University. He also has completed an executive MBA from Stanford Business School.
